Lets laugh, play and learn!

2 year old Toddler Classes

Our Toddler Classes offer a warm, loving, and rich learning environment.  Let this be your child's first experience learning and growing away from home.  We realize the importance for all children to develop a sense of self and assurance.  We will help and along the way have many laughs and giggles!

3-4 year Olds

Come and have some fun with us!  Our 3-4 year old classes are all about learning through play, exploration, direct instruction and a wide variety of social opportunities.  So much fun while learning!

9-11:30 Monday/Wednesday/Friday or 

8:30-11 Monday-Friday (3, 4 or 5 days)

Up up and away we grow!

4-5 year Old Pre-K

Our Pre K classes offer children a wide array of activities to enhance their learning and to be fully prepared for kindergarten.  We use the program Handwriting Without Tears and My First School Book to enhance their learning.

Sample Daily Schedule for Toddler Classes

Arrival/Choice Time

 After children take care of belongings, they have free choice of activities in the interest areas of the classroom. It is a time of self guided play and social interactions. Theme related books, dramatic play, fine motor activities, process art, and sensory experiences are provided.   Art activities are introduced to children during this time.

Movement in the gym

 Movement, songs, and dance to get the wiggles out and work on running, jumping and climbing skills

Circle Time

 After welcoming friends to school, the current classroom theme is introduced and discussed. Name recognition, songs, and stories within the theme are part of circle time. 

Snack time

Children learn to transition to wash hands and learn the handwashing routines.  Teachers sit with children and lead discussions related to the theme, season, or weather. Independence, manners, and language development and standards will be focused on during snack.

Story Time

New stories are introduced or familiar ones reread. Children are actively involved with the stories through whole body actions (movement, pointing) and answering questions related to the topic. 

Outdoor play on Good weather days

 Children will go outside to get fresh air and to practice gross motor development as well as social interactions with peers.  

Good-bye Circle

  We talk about the day, including each child’s highlights of the day. We sing good-bye. 

SAMPLE DAILY SCHEDULE FOR 3-4 YEAR OLD CLASS

 Children rotate between theme-based centers that will include English Language Arts (i.e. books, writing, drawing, coloring, Math/Science/Social Studies. Skill focus will be cognitive, fine motor, social and language development.  Children will be introduced to the program Handwriting Without Tears.

Outdoor play

 Children use playground toys and equipment and activities related to the theme to promote large-muscle development.

  We talk about the day, including each child’s highlights of the day. We sing good-bye. 

SAMPLE DAILY SCHEDULE FOR 4-5 YEAR OLD PRE-K CLASS

Arrival/Choice Time

Story Time

New stories are introduced or familiar ones reread. Children are actively involved with the stories through whole body actions, making predictions, and answering questions.   Children will be introduced to higher level language concepts books at this age.  

Activity Center Rotations

 Children rotate between theme-based centers that will include English Language Arts (i.e. books, writing, drawing, coloring, Math/Science/Social Studies. Skill focus will be cognitive, fine motor, social and language development.  Children will continue to work with the program Handwriting Without Tears to increase their handwriting skills.  All children will be given their own writing box to keep their crayons, glue, and scissors in for daily use.  My First School Book will be given to all children.  This book is used for the first half of the year and incorporates Coloring, Drawing, Counting, Writing and School Readiness skills necessary for kindergarten.

 Children use playground toys and equipment and activities to promote large-muscle development.
